Looking Ahead to 2012

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  We did.  There were days of urban exploring, eating out, going to the movies, and times when we just stayed home and visited with family.  We know you don't want to fill every day with events and things to do, but we hope to continue to be a trusting resource for when you do.

This site was started years ago to promote greater love for our community.  We will continue to work on posting about businesses to support, events to check out, people to take note of, things to inspire in order to get more people to take pride in our community.  We truly feel that the more people we have in our community content to call Mesa and the East Valley home, the stronger our local economy, the better our schools, the safer our neighborhoods will be.

So here is to 2012...a year of big changes here at I Heart Mesa.  A year of growth and a year of creating a stronger community to live in.

Speaking of community, it has taken a community effort and part of the Diving Lady sign is back up!  I took these pictures this last Saturday.  Can't wait until the Diving Lady herself makes an appearance.

Even though we have visited the area several times since our daughter and her family moved to Chandler seven years ago, those were all short vacation visits. This winter we are snowbirds and spending it living in our motorhome in Apache Junction. Your blog has provided suggestions for so many great activities with our grandkids. Our two favorites were the evenings we spent at the Mormon Temple and at the Phoenix ZooLights.

Thank you so much for showing us the way to these two very special holiday activities!
