Things to do



Here are two tips if you're going to Motorcycles on Main.  First, don't wear the most colorful shirt in your wardrobe or you'll stick out as bad as I did--think black.  Second, the snakes sometimes bite, which slipped out of that guy's mouth after I'd been holding the thing for a couple of minutes.

FRIDAY
Motorcycles on Main. 
6:00-10:00PM in downtown Mesa.  Motorcycles, entertainment, shops open late.  If you're lucky the guys with the snakes will be there. 

First Friday in downtown Phoenix
Lots of art exhibits and galleries for the adults. Free adults-only night at the Science Center. Free admission to the Children's Museum of Phoenix for the kids.

And... are you looking for a little Labor Day trip to get out of the heat? Head to Wilcox for Apple Annie's Harvest Celebration, to Taylor for the Sweet Corn Festival, or to Flagstaff for the Coconino County Fair.

Sign up to volunteer for a Mesa 9/11 commemorative volunteer project.  Help build a playground next to the Fire Station on Alma School in Mesa.

Diving Lady Fundraiser Dinner

The Diving Lady is being restored and should be back up this October.  Support this local landmark at a dinner on Tuesday, Sept 13th. 

Hello There! House Home and Garden Event Meet and Greet

Have you heard about Hello There! House?  It's a two-day home and garden event coming up in October.  Learn more about the event and have a fun night out at their last Meet and Greet, held at Joes Farm Grill held Saturday, Sept 17th.  Eat some great food, do a little project and have fun with some great people.
