Out and About: Things to Do Around the Valley This Week

Today we bring you even more events in and around Mesa, this time, more geared towards the adults.  This week...

Head over to the Olive Blossom Festival at the Queen Creek Olive Mill this weekend.  The Festival runs April 2nd - May 1st .   Grill in the grove, enjoy wine tasting and listen to local music.  Go here for all the details an an overview of the musicians scheduled each week.

Or next Monday, April 4th at 7:00 PM listen to Resonance Vocal Ensemble as they perform at the Mesa Arts Center "How Can I Keep from Singing" a celebration of the joy of singing, from ancient to modern times.  Tickets start at $5.  Click here to buy tickets.  Thanks Michele for sending the information our way.

We told you about the film festival for kids yesterday, well, adults, make sure to check out thePhoenix Film Festival March 31st - April 7th located at Harkins Scottsdale/101 Theatre.    "Celebrating our 11th year, the Phoenix Film Festival will screen more than 150 feature films and shorts. Attendees will be a part of screenings; Q&A sessions with producers, director and talent; enjoy world‐class entertainment; an impressive silent auction and more."  Overview and full schedule here.

Don't forget the Salsa Challenge at Tempe Beach Park  (also a kid-friendly event).  Marily posted about it last week here.  Make sure to read Jessica's comment, a Mesa mom, who reminded us that this fun and tasty event helps out with a great cause.  Help her boys and others as they struggle with Hemophilia by attending.

And for those gardeners or wanna be gardeners (me - can you see my digital hand is raised) you might be interested in these gardening classes offered by Karra  from Taste is Trump.  All classes are $10 per person except where noted elsewhere.   All classes are taught at her East Mesa home.  You can register for classes by e-mailing her at:  TasteisTrump@gmail.com
