Out and About: St. Patrick's Day Festivities

Here are a few events for the holiday you might like to check out:

Fountain Hills St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Thursday, March 17th from 10:00am to 3:00pm
Fountain Park
Come for Irish music, food, and a beer garden.  The Fountain will be dyed emerald green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and will run at noon.  In addition to the St. Patrick's Day celebration there will also be a farmers market and art displays to enjoy.  Go here for more information including a map.

Irish Music at the MAC
The regular “Out to Lunch Concert Series" at Mesa Arts Center, held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursdays through March 31, continues with Celtic, American and traditional songs by Tramor on St. Patrick's Day. Bring your lunch to eat while you listen to the tunes. Wells Fargo Garden, 1 E. Main St., Mesa.

St. Patrick's Day Storytelling at Tempe History Museum
Thursday, March 17th at 11am and 1pm.  "Join Peggy Moroney on a storytelling adventure about St. Patrick’s Day, the display of shamrocks and how they have become a worldwide symbol of this festive holiday."  There are other performances at the museum, so check the listings here.  Admission is free, donations are appreciated.  The museum is located at 809 East Southern in Tempe.
