Farms and Sales - Best Of

I was just browsing the internet and saw that the East Valley Tribune has posted their Best of East Valley.  I wasn't even aware of the polls until Glenda at Superstition Farm said she voted for us for Best Blogger.  Thanks Glenda.  We did not win, instead, we were runners up, which feels good too.  And, I couldn't think of a better blog to loose to:  Lightning Octopus, run by Mesa's own Jonathan Simon.  We like Jonathan, enough that I've even let him into my home for dinner :)  In fact, we probably like his wife Darby more.  She's been a friend since the high school days.  We tease her for being a jackrabbit and not a warrior, but that didn't stop us from hanging out with her on Mayor's Youth Committee, playing AYSO soccer together or from making up silly nicknames for weird guys we met while attending MCC.

Congrats Jonathan.  Head over to Lightning Octopus for up-to-date geek events around Arizona.  Because, seriously, I'm not even going to try to act like I'm in the loop on geek events.  Jonathan has got you covered there.

Also, speaking of Superstition Farm, they were named Best Place to Tire Out Your Kids by the East Valley Tribune. So why don't you put them to the test and check out their Horsing Around Days March 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, 23rd, and 24th from 1:00-4:00 pm.  Sounds like a fun addition for your Spring Break list.

Here is what Superstition Farm has to say:

"Come enjoy a real Western experience on a real working dairy farm. Hand-feeding goats, horses, a donkey, and sheep for only $3.75/adults and $2.75/kids. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime thrill of bottle feeding our baby calves for only $3 per bottle (limited availability). And get ready to saddle up partner! Our horse trainer will round up some horses and let the little ones (and big kids too) ride for only $5/per person. Finish off the day with a lunch prepared by our Chef including simple PB and J, BST (bacon, spinach, and tomato), and other options. Better, cheaper, and more fun than a movie."

Also this weekend:  Check out the Savvy Sale today, March 11th and tomorrow, March 12th at Spring of Life Christian Church: 1330 S. Crismon Rd.   Mesa, 85209

Please, if you are in the loop on any other boutiques or large/community yard sales during our spring season, please send the info our way at iheartmesa@gmail.com.

Thanks-
Kathryn
