When my husband was in elementary school, he would run community races with his father. This has always been something that I would like to establish as a tradition with our own children.
So if you are like me and looking for fun, healthy traditions to start with your family here in Mesa, head down to Mesa Riverview on Saturday, October 30th for the 2nd annual Boo Bash Dash 10K and 2 mile family fun run. At 7:30 AM, come to check in and for on-site registration. Family Fun Run/Walk starts at 8:30 AM, Dash starts at 9:00 AM and 10K at 9:30 AM.
Then...
"After your run, hang around to join in our costume contest for youth 12 and under, Halloween activity booths and Rawr-B-Que starting at 11:00! Enjoy snacks and check out community resources, information, local vendors, face painters and participate in raffles to win cash and prizes. All participants will receive a t-shirt commemorating the event!"
Registration is: $10 for youth, $20 for adults (18 and over), $25 for onsite registration.

Check it out, register, and make this year's Halloween weekend a little more health friendly, all while helping out a good cause.

I cant seem to find anything about registering for this event... I checked the link you've provided, am I missing something?
Looks like you have to go through active.com, if I remember right there is a fee: http://www.active.com/running/mesa-az/i9-sports-boo-bash-dash-2010
I even checked their flier-- nothing about registering. ODD. You'd think they'd be a little more organized if they wanted people to show up.
Thanks, Becky. You're right. I updated the post with a link to active.com. And yes there is a small fee for using the website tp register.
