Happy Birthday Pops! Yep, today my father turns the ripe old age of 64.  Born in Winslow, Arizona, graduated from Chinle High School, hitch-hiked his way to college, somehow convinced my born and raised Mesa mom to marry him, taught junior high for many years in Mesa and has survived several life or death experiences to be just as much a pill as he always was.

In other news, this weekend head over to Home Depot.  On the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot hosts a kids' workshop, geared for kids ages 5-12 (but my younger nephews liked the project last month - so you be the judge).  Children get to work on a project - for June it is a small hand held soccer game - and they get an orange child sized Home Depot apron.  All for FREE.

Held at every Home Depot from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (but the sales associate said to get there before 10:00 AM just in case they run out).
