Have you ever heard of Parent University from Mesa Public Schools? I taught a few years for MPS and I had forgotten that these classes were offered, but I'm glad that I stumbled across them again. Classes range in cost from free to $25 and are offered on a variety of subjects from growth and development to behavior. For a complete list of classes and information on registration, go here. Some of the classes have already come and gone, but an Introduction to Baby Signs class will be held on Thursday, October 16th and 23rd from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

"Week 1: Parent Workshop: (Adults only) Parents will learn HOW and WHEN to start signing at home, as well as over 20 signs to incorporate into daily activities and routines.
Week 2: Sign, Say & Play. Babies come to this class! Parents and their children, 6 mos.—3 yrs. will enjoy this class of games, songs and activities that will teach more than 10 signs. Children 6 mos. -3 yrs. come for free. This class is designed to stimulate growth in your baby's motor, intellectual, language and social skills."
