Holiday Highlights

We thought you might enjoy a recap of all the holiday events going on.  There’s sure to be at least a couple of things on here that your family and out-of-town guests will enjoy! Don’t forget to verify schedules and hours of operation before heading out.

Bass Pro – Santa’s Wonderland – free photo with Santa and tons of fun games.

Desert Botanical Garden – “Last Noches De Las Luminarias” – beautiful scenery, 8,000 luminaries, warm cider and magical music. Now thru Dec. 30th.

Donations – for local charities in need.

Golfland Winter Wonderland – In addition to their Christmas lights on the miniature golf course, see Santa on Dec. 18 and 22 or play in real snow on the 22nd.

Great Arizona Puppet Theatre – “The Elves and the Shoemaker” now thru Dec. 24th.

Handel’s Messiah by the Phoenix Symphony – now thru Sun. Dec. 19. Check their calendar for other performances and their New Year's concert.

JesterZ Improv – Clean & very funny improv comedy. Weekends only at 8pm and 10pm.

Mesa Temple Christmas Lights – Featuring hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights, 30-min concerts, and nativity displays from artisans around the world, all for free. Now thru New Year’s Day.

Neighborhood Christmas Light Displays – check out azcentral.com’s map; also check out Natal Circle and Gaylord Circle.

Nutcracker Ballet – Ballet Arizona at Symphony Hall, now thru Dec. 26th.

Phoenix ZooLights – 3.5 million lights with nearly 600 displays. Now through Jan. 9th.

POOL – Check their calendar for ongoing productions of “Christmas 1943” and other music events.

Skateland – Special events and winter discounts, and skate with Santa on Christmas Eve.

Train Displays and Events –AZ Big Trains (this weekend only), McCormick-Stillman Railroad (now thru Jan. 1st), and Freestone railroad (check calendar for hours and events).

Usery Pass – A variety of awesome hikes to choose from, right on the northeast side of Mesa.
