Forgotten Carols, Santa at the Railroad, and More!

The Forgotten Carols at Gammage Auditorium
Next Wednesday, Dec. 22, Michael McLean’s “The Forgotten Carols” will be playing at ASU’s Gammage Auditorium. Here’s a brief synopsis of the show from their website:

The Forgotten Carols is the story of Constance, a rigid yet competent nurse, too practical to be bothered by Christmas. She is assigned to care for an aged gentleman with alleged psychiatric tendencies over the holiday season. But this unlikely patient, John, is nothing like the senile “crazy” she expected. With warmth and spunky kindness, John eventually breaks through Constance’s iron-clad exterior as he walks her through the untold carols of the more “forgotten” characters in the Christmas story and guides the young nurse to the Christmas carol waiting to be sung inside her own heart.

Tickets start at $20 and group discounts are available. To purchase tickets, go here.

This Saturday: Santa at Freestone Railroad
This weekend Santa will be making a stop at the Freestone Railroad in Gilbert (around Lindsey and Guadalupe) from 11am-6pm. In addition to their train rides they have a carousel, mini Ferris wheel, and a wave runner. For park hours and directions, go here.

Christmas Comedy at JesterZ Improv
If you’re asking yourself, “What am I going to do after all the gifts are opened, everyone has had their afternoon nap and now you are just sitting around bored to death on Christmas day?”, then check out JesterZ Improv’s “It’s a Comedic Christmas” show at 6pm on Christmas Day. You will experience their own "comedic rendition of beloved Christmas tales" such as It's a Wonderful Life, The Christmas Carol, The Grinch, and more! Tickets are $15 and reservations are required. In addition to their group discounts, their website features a new deal every day (think date pack, 20% discounts, etc.) up until Christmas so check their site daily if you want to go. For more info, go here.
