Ballet Arizona's "The Nutcracker" & Other Shows

One of my favorite Christmas memories from when I was a kid was when my grandma took me and my cousins to see Ballet Arizona’s rendition of “The Nutcracker.” Seeing a show like that is one of those rare gifts that make lasting memories without cluttering up any shelves at home.

Here’s a quick summary of the plot from their website: “Enjoy the magic of this beloved holiday classic through the eyes of Clara, who wakes in the land of the Sugar Plum Fairy and is entertained by dances including Arabian Coffee, Chinese Tea and the Waltz of the Flowers. It’s a famous journey of magic and wonderment.”

“The Nutcracker” at Symphony Hall runs from Dec. 10 – 24th, and includes some matinee shows on the weekends in addition to their regular nightly performances. Tickets start at $17 each but discounts are available for children 12 and under, full-time students, full-time K-12 teachers, seniors 65+, and active military. For more information, go here
