Utah Fruit Sales

I'm in love.
In love with Utah Peaches.

I bought a box and we have been eating them nonstop since last Wednesday.  But here is the catch, the best peaches I have found sold here aren't in the grocery stores.  I buy them from the "fruit" stand on the North West corner of Val Vista and Brown.

I wish my details were more clear, but I'm really unsure of how it all works.  All I know is that the stand which in the winter sells citrus, is now open on Wednesdays to sell Utah produce.  I stopped in around 10:00 AM, picked out a nice box of Hale peaches and Barbie (the lady behind this Utah fruit sale) held my little Annie while I showed another gentleman where in my car to put the box.  (Yes, we are fond of the Hale variety of peaches.)

I'm not sure how many more weeks this will run.  I'm not sure exactly what time they open or close or where to look for more details to give on this blog.  But I do know that if you want the best peaches, you have to check this out.  Stop by the North West corner of Val Vista and Brown around 10:00 ish on Wednesdays.

This stand also sold tomatoes and raspberries (maybe some other produce that I didn't see).  All produce is sold in bulk, so be prepared to can or freeze or share.  Only checks and cash accepted.  My box of peaches cost $27 and I was able to share lots with family.  I'll be going back for more this Wednesday.

Enjoy.  I know we have.

I just sent you an email with Barbie's information. One thing to note about Barbie's peaches is that they are not tree-ripened, which is GREAT because you don't have to use them (eat, can, freeze) right away.
