Have you seen the beautiful rose garden at MCC? If not, there's a cheap night out right there. Go wander through the roses and check out the different varieties then head across the street to Golden Canyon for some great Chinese food at great prices. Or, if you're interested in a little therapeutic gardening, maybe you'd want to become a deadheader. Sounds creepy, yes?
For more information, check out the website here. The Rose Garden Deadheaders are a team of volunteers who help keep the rose bushes looking their best throughout the year. This essential team of people come on their own time to "deadhead" the bushes, removing the spent blooms.
The next Deadheading meeting will beSep 18th at 8:00 amRefreshments and meeting on patio . Come early, 6 or 7 am, to deadhead in the cool. Please, come help.
A regular Deadheader's meeting is held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 8:00 am with coffee and doughnuts! A small group meets each Tuesday at 7:00 am in the East garden to work together.
