It seems we were missing in action last week.
Where were we?
Well, Marily and I just had our 10 year high school reunion. Warriors thru and thru. Though not members of student council, we kind of took it upon ourselves to plan the kids invited portion of the reunion. We held it in Westwood's cafeteria. It was fun going back after all these years and taking the kids too.
So...if you want to know things like:
- who to call if you want to host an event at a Mesa Public Schools location
- who to call if you need event insurance
- which bounce house companies offer good deals (thanks again Bouncy Bounce Inflatables. They pulled through with a kind offer to donate one bounce house and one at a discounted rate. Can't beat $63 for two bounce houses and hours of entertainment. But seriously, check out their pick up service.)
- how to set up a photo booth (backdrop, props and a good photographer)
- which carnival games are popular with the kiddos and cheap to recreate
- where to get good deals on vanilla ice-cream for rootbeer floats (5 gallon Thrifty tub for $12.99 at Smart and Final)
- where to buy discounted styrofoam cups and other supplies (American Discount Foods on Extension and Broadway. The room in the back has the discounted restaurant supplies.)
- how to secure sponsors to save others cash (thanks again Opie Chiropractic)
- and all the other minor little but add up to be a lot of details for planning a party for a few hundred....
just shoot us an e-mail. We'd love to share our new knowledge.
And now that the dust has settled, hopefully we are back with great new posts. Thanks for your patience.
