A grand opening celebration of Mesa’s newest dog park will be held on
Saturday, Aug. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Countryside Park, 3130 E. Southern Ave.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 8 a.m.
The event will include vendors, light refreshments, safety information, and give-a-ways. The public is encouraged to attend this free event.
Countryside Dog Park is a 1.2-acre, fenced-in area with turf, benches, a doggie water fountain, and a separate area for timid dogs. Park patrons are encouraged to bring their used grocery bags to stock receptacles available for picking up dog waste. Park hours are from sunrise to 10p.m. and the dog park is closed on Tuesdays for maintenance.
