Monsoon Madness: Wet and Muddy Fun in Queen Creek

Splash into summer at the Town of Queen Creek’s wettest and muddiest event of the year! Monsoon Madness will be held from

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday, July 10
Founders’ Park, 22407 S. Ellsworth Road.

Monsoon Madness includes a variety of ways for the whole family to cool off, beat the heat and enjoy summertime fun! Event festivities include inflatable water slides, 100-foot Soap & Slide, a “human car wash,” and Queen Creek’s signature Monsoon MudSlide (participants of the MudSlide must provide a waiver signed by a parent or guardian and must wear laced tennis shoes at all times).

Included in the excitement is the Itty-Bitty Play Zone, an area specially tailored for children ages 4 and under. Itty-Bitty attractions include a variety of water toys, an exclusive bounce house, bubble mania and a discovery dig where toddlers search for hidden treasures.

The event will also feature Queen Creek’s third-annual Mad Mud Volleyball (MMV) tournament. The one-day competition will be conducted as a six-versus-six, double-elimination battle to determine the best mud volleyball team in town.

Monsoon Madness is presented by Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and sponsored by Uncle Bear’s Grill & Bar, Tio Oso’s Tex-Mex Cantina, Native New Yorker Restaurant and Air Chiller. Admission to the event and participation in the Monsoon MudSlide are free; additional activities and food vendors have nominal fees.

Cost: Free to ride the Soap & Slide and Monsoon Mudslide; $5 for unlimited turns on the inflatable water slides.

Information:(480) 358-3700 or online here.
WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

You must wear lace-up, closed-toe shoes on the Monsoon Mudslide. No exceptions.
Parents must sign a waiver for children who wish to use the Monsoon Mudslide.
Bring folding chairs to watch the Mad Mud Volleyball Tournament; there are no bleachers this year.
It's a good idea to bring towels and/or a change of clothes for the ride home.

Thanks, Lindsey for sending us the info!
