Celebrate Mesa with a Swim Party at Hubbard

We hope everyone had a very wonderful 4th of July.  Did you make it downtown?  If you didn't, you missed out.  I took my older girls on Friday night for a mommy daughter date.  It was the best.  Playing in water, holding exotic birds, dancing in the street to live music.  Then on Saturday night we enjoyed the downtown fireworks from a nearby empty lot.  In my opinion, it really couldn't be much better.  I thought Mesa did a wonderful job on this event. We will be looking forward to it again next year.  Great job Mesa, you made me proud.

Also, did you know yesterday marked the anniversary of Mesa being an incorporated city?  "On July 5, 1883 Macdonald and fifteen other citizens drew up and signed a petition to the Maricopa Board of Supervisors requesting incorporation of the settlement as a village."  (Our Town, 1978)

During this time, Mesa had 300 citizens.

Look where we have come from.  So lets celebrate our beloved Mesa's birthday with a pool party.

Hubbard Swim School is graciously letting us use their facility once again for another swim party.  It will be held Saturday, July 31st, 2010 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.  The pool will be open to free swim the entire time.  Come check out their facilities, swim, meet other Mesa residents and celebrate with cake.   All this for FREE.  All you have to do is RSVP by e-mailing us at iheartmesa@gmail.com or leave us a comment here telling us how many in your group will be attending.  We need to get a general idea on numbers, so let us know as soon as possible.  We look forward to meeting you!

(And please don't think, "Oh, I don't look good in a swimsuit," or "My swimsuit is too old."  Nonsense.  It'll be fun and we want to meet you even if you are like me and are sporting the suit you bought 7 years ago.)
