2010 Fit Kid Challenge

Here is a neat idea for giving your kids some positive goals to work toward this summer.  Show up at the Cardon's Medical Center on Saturday to sign your kid up for the Fit Kid Challenge.  Sounds like it's kind of like the summer reading programs, with prizes for reaching certain goals.   Thanks Melissa for sending us this email!

Join Cardon Children's Medical Center on Saturday, June 12 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. as we kick off the 2010 Fit Kid Challenge, a free summer program for kids! The kickoff party will take place in an air-conditioned tent in the Cardon Children’s parking lot, and feature free breakfast foods, an obstacle course, a Wii game truck, prizes and visits by radio personalities Connie Weber and six-time Olympic gold medalist Amy Van Dyken. Kids will get a Fit Kit including water bottle, jump rope and pedometer when they agree to The Challenge.

The event marks the start of this summer’s Fit Kid Challenge, a four-week program that awards prizes to kids who complete fitness and nutrition learning activities. To learn more go to: www.BannerHealth.com/CardonChildrensFitKid
