Saturday Spotlight: Sea Life Aquarium

Saturday Spotlight gives you an idea for some last-minute fun on Saturday or any other day.  We will spotlight a different place to visit in Mesa or its surrounding neighborhoods.

A brand new aquarium has opened up in town--right inside Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe.  It's kind of a treat to have this here in Arizona, and right in town too.
From the website:
Dive in and be wowed by the many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep as you journey through the amazing underwater world of SEA LIFE Arizona. Prepare for astonishing close views of everything from the humble starfish to tropical sharks, all in displays which carefully recreate their natural habitats. To get any closer you’ll have to get wet!

Ticket prices:

Adults (13years+)       $18.50
Children (3-12 years)  $10.50
Seniors (60+)               $15.50

To get more information including hours and directions, click here.

There is an AZ Central article about the aquarium complete with several pictures here.

Have you visited? We want to, but the price is a bit steep for something we don't know is any good or not. I've been to some pretty terrible --- and wonderful aquariums in my time.

No I haven't gone. Guess I'll have to go then write a review. It's owned by the corporation that does LegoLand and has another location in CA. I added a link to an article about the aquarium at the bottom of the post.
