Shape Up Arizona

Get Fit, Exercise Today, Be Healthier - These phrases are probably on most of our to-do lists.

"Season 7 contestants of the Biggest Losers, Sione and Filipe Fa will help kick-off one of Arizona’s largest fitness and wellness expo, Shape Up Arizona."

Saturday, April 10th 2010 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Mesa Community College

1833 W. Southern Ave. 

"The event will start with a one and two mile fitness walk at 10:00 AM led by Sione and Filipe, followed by a boot camp workout by the Fa’s at 11:00 AM. The event will last until 3:00 PM and is FREE for all to attend."

Registration for the walk is at 9:30 AM.  There is no cost to participate in the walk, but if you do wish to buy a t-shirt, the cost is $8.

"Seventy-five vendors, booths and live entertainment including, Mascot Olympics, Hip Hop star Eric James, Dewper, Craig Davis the Magician and Juggler, STOMP, and SpongeBob SquarePants with Dora the Explorer will also be present. The presenting sponsor for one-day fitness and wellness expo is Cardon Children’s Medical Center. The event will provide education and entertainment for the mind, body and emotion. Additional features includes, inflatables, a rock climbing wall, health and cooking demonstrations, fitness games and more."

"In the U.S. there are more than 9 million overweight or obese children ages six to 19,” Executive Director of Shape Up US Inc., Jyl Steinback said. “Our mission is to create a circle of wellness education that flows from teacher, to student, to family and the community at large."
