Last December my family spent some time at Banner Gateway saying goodbye to our newest niece. Born too early to live more than an hour. 9 months ago I spent a week and a half at Banner Gateway with my newest daughters, born 7 weeks premature. I know my life has been personally touched by advances in care and technology. By those who have donated time, money and effort to protect and improve care for the youngest of miracles. There is another Mesa family that lost one of their own. Each year their family raises funds for the March of Dimes in honor of their niece, Tera, who passed away at 13 days old from congenital heart defects. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
This year, they have an EXTRA SPECIAL event planned:
"Team Tera Night"
Monday, March 29th from 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
the Dairy Queen Grill and Chill
(on Baseline and Higley by the new Gateway Hospital)
This Dairy Queen will donate 15% of the money made during those hours
So help this family pack the place! Help support the mission of the March of Dimes.
A Dairy Queen "Grill and Chill" is like a burger joint as well as ALL the traditional ice cream treats that you're used to from DQ. What a fun night out for the family. Eat, get a treat, and it's all for a great cause. And what a wonderful manager of this particular location who is willing to donate so selflessly!
Thanks to this family for the information. And don't hesitate to pass it along this weekend.
