Toddler Cruise

It's another Toddler Cruise at Usery Mountain Regional Park tomorrow - and with Arizona weather, you might want to take advantage of the outdoors while you can.

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009
9:00 AM

Meet at Area 6 in Usery Park
3939 N. Usery Pass Road
Mesa 85207
(Ellsworth, north of McDowell Rd.)

Cost: The usual $6 per car entrance to the park fee

"This one-mile hike is designed for parents and grandparents with small children ages 3 - 6 years old. Along with Ranger B, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” and learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. We will explore the desert from the comfort of the well- manicured Merkle Trail, designed to be barrier-free and offer universal access. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. After completing the hike, kids will receive a Junior Ranger badge. Please bring water and hats."

We went this morning and had a great time. Ranger B was so good with the kids and kept a great pace. He said there will be some evening hikes for the summer months which should be nice. Thanks!
