"Our popular 'Toddler Cruise' programs are back for the season! This one-mile hike is designed for parents and grandparents with small children. Along with Ranger B, the kids will howl like coyotes, do the “bobcat crawl” and learn how to hydrate by counting gulps of water on their fingers. We will explore the desert from the comfort of the well-manicured Merkle Trail, designed to be barrier-free and offer universal access. The hard-smooth surface of this trail will accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. After completing the hike, kids will receive a Junior Ranger badge. Please bring water and hats. Families meet at Area 6."
This activity sounds like a lot of fun for those young ones not yet in school. You know your child will love being in the great outdoors and what kid wouldn't love a Junior Ranger badge?

Thanks for this info. We didn't go for the scheduled 'Toddler Cruise' but took our neice with our two kids for this "hike" (just a trail walk)over New Year's break. It was perfect for little kids!! Ours are 2 and 4, and our neice is 8. We parked, walked 1/2 mile around a mountain, played at a rather nice playground, then walked the other 1/2 mile back and had a picnic. It was the perfect outdoor activity for small children! Thanks.
