Farms a Plenty

If you don't have the time to travel all the way out to the famed Schnepf Farms, don't fret, there are a few farms that are located in or closer to Mesa.
Marily Smith so kindly reminded us of Mother Nature's Farm. I've gone to this one in past years to get cute pictures of my kiddos. It's a great little farm. It is located on the south side of Baseline between Stapley and Gilbert.

It is free to use their pumpkin patch as a cute backdrop for pictures, but if you would like to do a little more, the cost is $7 for youth and $3 for parents who tag along. $7 "includes an OZ pumpkin, decorating your pumpkin, the air bounce, a hayride, straw bounce, feeding the animals and Alexander's Adventure Maze." To save $3 on an adult entrance, go here to get a free coupon.

And if Schnepf Farms and Mother Nature's Farm aren't working out for you either, try

Vertuccio Farms: 4011 S. Power Road

The cost of this one is $7, however, 4 and younger are free. Cost includes: 10 acre corn maze, straw maze, bounce house, play area, farm animals, educational "Pizza Farm", and access to the pumpkin patch. Pay an additional $2 to ride the barrel train or the pedal cars. Go here for a $1 off coupon. Or if you want, you can organize a group of 20 or more and get a group rate.

Hopefully you can find a farm that fits your needs. Nothing like a little country time to enhance our city life.
