The history makes it even more detrimental that this piece of time is restored. I would love my children to be able to share the memories I have of the train!! Save our train!!!Mesababyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13486584846695427288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7564585324701118864.post-50600680887551823322010-11-17T10:24:31.228-07:002010-11-17T10:24:31.228-07:00The Save the Train prject is near and dear to ur h...The Save the Train prject is near and dear to ur hearts. Both my husband and I have fond memories playing and climbing on this train. But, for us it's more than that. His grandfather actually WORKED on this train back when it was in service. He is one of the driving forces on the committee trying to save it. Not only is it part of Mesa's history. It's also deeply rooted in our own.Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10766103040196324573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7564585324701118864.post-56061755778848601032010-11-17T10:23:16.718-07:002010-11-17T10:23:16.718-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10766103040196324573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7564585324701118864.post-62155072519805212672010-11-16T08:39:07.144-07:002010-11-16T08:39:07.144-07:00I agree that they should save the train- it's ...I agree that they should save the train- it's a fantastic piece of real history that helps to make Mesa unique.

I would like to see the train housed inside of a light rail station in Downtown Mesa- visible through glass and under lighting, but concealed from the elements. It would be a symbolic way to connect the old with the new (traditional railroad to modern rail transit), and for Mesa to share it's history with rail travelers.designnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17417173091900848033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7564585324701118864.post-77687398481644225612010-11-16T08:31:58.673-07:002010-11-16T08:31:58.673-07:00Yes, the train! I feel sorry for any Mesa child who didn't get to grow up playing on the Pioneer Park train. The Wizzlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04836090881894636555noreply@blogger.com
